I wish the world would completely sanction Israel and stop their genocidal, fascist invasions of land that is not theirs. They are a menace in the world!

80 years, and it hasn't even been hinted at.

When we all come together to stop this( and we can!! But in the US we still have people supporting isnotreal. Which is a big problem) things will change. But I think we will go thru another war. Not just the Iran war. People must wake up & see not one political party uports them

I am so upset about this insanity. Trump better threaten Israeli with meaningful threats! Such as this insane idea of "merging Israeli military with America ". This would be "suicide" for America. And he should threaten no more money sent to Israel period for anything! Maybe that will stop Netanyahu from his bloodthirsty insanity!

If Netanyahu was out

picture, would another Israeli terrorist replace him?? This war won’t be stopped until Israel is held criminally responsible

Do not ever--even for a second--expect T, Bibi or Putin to DO THE RIGHT THING.

tif's avatar

Thank you for your analysis.

Is Netanyahu profiting from the rebuilding that occurs in lands militarily attacked and seized by Israel? He is in the construction business, is he not!?

Trump’s “Board of peace” that is supposed to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza is mostly made up of real estate investors and funded by the Saudis, Qatar and UAE. They clearly intend to kill or expel all of the Palestinians and turn it into “high end” real estate to sell to the highest bidder. You can be certain that all of them stand to profit and they intend to do the same thing to Lebanon.

Makes me so sad and angry reading the despicable truth that is publicly hidden from everyone

It’s not even very well hidden

There is no way israel.carried out this strike without the green light from Washington. The purpose is to prove that Iran desperate for a deal and willing to abandon its allies.

And China is playing both sides

As I recall, the first President Bush cut off funds, ammunition and weapons supplies when Israel stepped too far out of line. Discipline was restored within the week.

When the absolute truth shows up in words it bears citing:

"Washington must also recognize a basic reality: the only way to delink a U.S.-Iran agreement from the Israel-Lebanon conflict **is to delink the United States itself from Israel’s recurring resort to military escalation**." (Emphasis added)

It was predictable: nothing but a debilitated, defenseless, and fragmented Iran works for the expansionist project. And of course, the US administration hasn’t exerted any leverage, quite the opposite: the integration of its intelligence and military advances without effective opposition in Congress.

According to the Times of Israel, the united states offered iran financial incentive for not attacking to israeli bombing of lebanon.

The iranians turned down the offer

Good. It is not and was ever was about money.

A memorandum of understanding means nothing when trust is already broken. With Trump’s record of shifting stories and constant denial, an MOU becomes theatre, not commitment. America itself has a long history of abandoning agreements when convenient, from treaties with Indigenous nations to modern withdrawals. Under Trump, that pattern only feels sharper and more dangerous.

Netanyahu has his own objectives that differ from Israel's objectives and also from the US objectives. He dosen't care about the global economy neither about the mid-term elections in the US. He's in a fight for his own survival and he's goin to go to unimagible lenghts to stay in power and avoid being jailed. The only way to do that is through perpetual war with US as a proxy and he has leverage to implement just that because of the exorbitant influence, maybe control, of the Israeli lobby over both republicans and democrats.

The US should have listened to John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt and taken their advice back in 2006…

Well said! if Trump has any honesty on making a deal with Iran he should either rein on Israeil if he plans to continue supporting them, or stop pouring american taxpayer resources under the whims of Israel and expect Iran to sign any deal with US while no constraint being put on Izreil

You explain the situation so clearly. Thank you so much, Trita, and please stay safe.

You are deluding yourself thinking Israel cannot take on Iran on its own, I mean there was a shadow war with Iran for two decades by the Israelis alone without washingtons help. Infact, it's more than delusional, it's willful harm to think Israel will not only take out Iran on its own but also has the fallback of an actual nuke and will not hesitate to use it on Iran if it ever got to it.

In any case, we will soon get to see this Israel and Iran face off alone without the US. We are headed there anyways

Will never happen, Israel is playing for keeps and eventually their population will not stand for a many years war and if Israel were to use A bomb their standing in the world would be much much worse.

I agree with all you said, but how does djt extricate himself from this?
